11 Days Kenya and Tanzania plus Mt. Kilimanjaro Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru


This combined Kenya and Tanzania Safari starts from Nairobi.

Picked from Nairobi airport or your hotel and drive Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its millions of seasonal pink flamingos and other aquatic birds. Game drive en route to –Sarova Lion Hill- for lunch. Afternoon out for another game tracking session around the lake, where rhino, zebra, gazelle, buffalo, leopard, and waterbuck can easily and closely be spotted. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara


After breakfast depart for Masai Mara, one of East Africa’s most famous reserves, The Masai Mara Mara consists of undulating hills and great rolling grasslands that sustain some of the most varied wildlife in Africa, if not the world. Arrive in time for lunch at –Mara Sarova Luxury Tented Camp. Afternoon safari game viewing in the Masai Mara reserve, where lion, elephant, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, gazelle and other plains game abound, not forgetting the hundreds of species of birds. Dinner and overnight in Mara Sarova Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 3: Masai Mara


Full day dedicated to safari game drives in this sprawling Masai Mara reserve. You can watch a lion, cheetah or leopard hunting or feasting on its kill. Option of a visit to a Masai village or a hot-air balloon ride that starts at 06.00 am and ends with a Champagne breakfast on the plains. What an exhilarating experience! All meals and overnight at the Mara Sarova Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 4: Masai Mara - Tanzania - Isebania - Serengeti


After, breakfast drive to Kenya and Tanzania Border. Exchange vehicles and proceed to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. You will have packed Lunches on the way. Arrive for evening safari game drive in Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at Mabalageti Lodge.

Day 5: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater


After breakfast, safari game drive until lunch time in Serengeti. After lunch -drive to Ngorongoro. Optional visit to Olduvai Gorge. Arrive for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. In the evening you have stunning views of the crater
from the Lodge.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater


morning breakfast, after which descend to crater with picnic lunches. Full day Safari game drives in the crater. Evening ascend and drive to -Bougainvillea Lodge -for Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Ngorongoro - Moshi-Marangu


After breakfast, drive to Moshi town -then proceed to -Nakara Hotel -arrive for lunch.  Afternoon drive to  Waterfalls and and also visit ancient Chagga caves. Dinner and overnight at -Nakara Hotel.

Day 8: Marangu - Kilimanjaro


After breakfast, climb Mt. Kilimanjaro - for a full day. Evening drive back to -Nakara Hotel -for dinner and overnight

Day 9: Marangu - Tarakea Border - Amboseli


After breakfast, drive to Kenya and Tanzania border (Tarakea), exchange vehicles and proceed to Amboseli National Park in Kenya. Arrive for lunch at Amboseli. Afternoon Safari game drive in Amboseli National Park. Dinner and overnight at -Ol Tukai Lodge.

Day 10: Amboleli - Taita Hills


Early morning safari game drive in this magnificent Amboseli park, right on the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest Mountain  in Africa. Early morning there’s a chance of spotting its Mt. Kilimanjaro snows. Drive to the Lodge for breakfast, after which exit the Amboseli park and drive to Taita Hills Sanctuary. Arrive for lunch at Taita Hills Sarova Salt Lick. Afternoon games drive in the Taita Hills Sanctuary.
Dinner and overnight at Taita Hills Sarova Salt Lick.

Day 11: Tata Hills - Nairobi


Early morning game drive, after which drive to the Lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, drive to Nairobi and transferred to the airport. End of Kenya and Tanzania Safari.
